SECTION A: TEACHING STAFF 

i. Categories and Qualifications • Associate Professor/Senior Lecturer: Applicants must have a terminal degree (PhD) in a relevant subject area and must have attained the position of Associate Professor or Senior Lecturer from a recognized tertia- ry/research institution at the time of application. Applicants must show a strong research profile, evi- denced by peer-reviewed publications, presentation at academic conferences, published books/chapters, inventions, or evidence of applied research leading to community or industrial applications.

 • Lecturer: Applicants must have a terminal degree (PhD) in a relevant subject area. Post qualification expe- rience in a Lecturer's grade from a recognized tertiary/research institution will be an asset. Evidence of teaching and research experience will be valuable. Assistant Lecturers: Applicants with strong demonstrated experience from a recognized tertiary/re- search institution with a Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) or other thesis-based Master's degree in a relevant subject area and are enrolled in a PhD programme at an advanced stage may apply even though the mini- mum requirement is PhD.




ii. Specific Areas for Teaching/Research The candidates will be expected to teach at the undergraduate level and to conduct applied research in the relevant area. Proven record of teaching and supervising graduate students will be an asset.

 The following specific subject areas are required of interested applicants:
 FACULTY OF APPLIED ARTS . Business Law Law FACULTY OF APPLIED SCIENCES AND TECHNOLOGY . Food Science FACULTY OF BUSINESS . Procurement and Supply Chain Management Petroleum Marketing . Human Resource Management/Strategic Management Accounting FACULTY OF ENGINEERING . Chemical Engineering 
• Electrical/Electronic Engineering Water and Sanitation Engineering
 • Civil Engineering




SECTION B: SENIOR MEMBER (NON-TEACHING)
i. Assistant Guidance and Counseling Officer Qualifications and Experience Applicants must hold a minimum of Masters' Degree in a relevant field and must have at least six (6) years post qualification experi- ence. Duties and Responsibilities The Assistant Guidance and Counseling Offi- cer shall assist the Guidance and Counseling Officer in the performance of the mandate and functions of the Office as provided for in the Guiding Statutes of the University. 

ii. Head of Educational Development Centre (EDC) Qualification and Experience Applicants must hold a minimum of Research Master's Degree and should have a back- ground in teaching with at least, six (6) years post qualification experience. A relevant pro- fessional qualification would be an added ad- vantage. Duties and Responsibilities The Head of the Centre shall report to the Di- rector of Quality Assurance and Academic Planning. He/She will be responsible for the development of guidelines for teaching en- hancement and use of teaching technology. In addition, the Head will be responsible for en- hancement of Lecturer grantsmanship and shall also seek grant opportunities and collab- orations for the University.


 SECTION C: MODE OF APPLICATION 
1. Applications should include cover letters (indicating the position applied for), Current Curriculum Vitae (with contact details of three referees), Copies of certificates and transcripts. 

2. Applicants for teaching positions should include brief teaching and research statement not exceeding two (2) pages.
