Important Update on Allowances: Key Announcements from the TTAG Leadership Seminar
On Friday 17th May, 2024 at the TTAG (Teacher Trainees' Association of Ghana) leadership seminar, outgoing President Jephthah Kwame Sefah delivered an eagerly awaited announcement regarding student allowances. According to Sefah, allowances are expected to be disbursed starting next week. This development marks a significant change in the payment process, which will now involve a one-time payment for all trainees rather than the traditional batch payments.
Action Required: Verify Your Allowance Details
To ensure a smooth process, all trainees are advised to verify that their details are correctly submitted to the Student Loan Trust Fund (SLTF). It is crucial to check with your Allowance Coordinator to confirm the accuracy and submission of your information. If your details are incorrect or missing, you risk missing out on the allowance, which could be challenging to rectify later.
For Continuing Students: Contact Your SRC President
Continuing students who encounter issues with their allowance details should immediately reach out to their SRC (Students' Representative Council) President for further guidance. Prompt action will help avoid any potential complications in receiving your allowance.
Important Notes
-Amount: The specific amount to be disbursed was not disclosed by Jephthah Kwame Sefah but four (2) months allowance is expected to be paid
- Ezwich Cards: Ensure you have your Ezwich cards ready, as they will be needed for the allowance distribution.
- Timeliness: Heeding this information promptly is essential to avoid missing out on the allowance.
This announcement brings much-needed clarity and anticipation for teacher trainees awaiting their allowances. We appreciate the efforts of the TTAG leadership in addressing this critical issue and ensuring that the payment process is as efficient as possible.
Yours in students’ service,
Boakye, Eunice Asabea
SRC General Secretary.
