History should be made Compulsory at all levels of our education - Prof. Kojo Yankah

 

Preserving Our Heritage: Prof. Kojo Yankah's Plea to Make Ghana/Africa History Compulsory in Education

 Prof. Kojo Yankah, founder of the African University College of Communications (AUCC), has urged that Ghana and Africa's history, authenticated by research, be made a compulsory subject at all levels of education. His proposal comes at a critical time, amidst controversy surrounding the founder of Ghana.

Prof. Yankah's suggestion is a call to action, ensuring that our rich history is not distorted or lost on future generations. He emphasizes the importance of authenticating our history through research, providing a reliable and trustworthy account of our past.

"My humble suggestion is that Ghana/Africa history, authenticated by research, should be made Compulsory at all levels of our education," Prof. Yankah wrote on his Facebook page.

In another post, Prof. Yankah acknowledged the significance of Kwame Nkrumah, Ghana's Founding Father and Osagyefo, stating, "History is on his side." This recognition highlights the importance of understanding our past, acknowledging the contributions of our leaders, and learning from their experiences.

By making Ghana/Africa history compulsory, we can:
