The Dark Truth About Education in Ghana: Aseidu Nketia Speaks Out

Aseidu Nketia, the National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has exposed the ugly truth about the state of education in Ghana. Speaking candidly on Onua TV with host Captain Smart, Nketia revealed that bribery has become a rampant practice in the education sector, particularly in tertiary institutions.

Nketia painted a dire picture of a system where students are forced to pay bribes to secure admission into teacher training colleges and nursing colleges.

This disturbing trend, he believes, is a direct result of the current government's failures. The once-noble pursuit of knowledge has been reduced to a transactional game, where only those with the means to pay can access quality education.

Nketia's words strike at the heart of a systemic problem that has far-reaching consequences. The commercialization of education undermines the very foundation of our society, creating a class of privileged individuals who can afford to pay their way to the top.

Meanwhile, talented but less fortunate students are left behind, their dreams of a better future crushed by a corrupt system. He stated

As Nketia's words echo through the nation, we are compelled to confront the reality of our education system.

It is time for us to demand better from our leaders and from ourselves. We must work together to create a fair and just system, where knowledge and skills are valued above wealth and influence. The Future of the nation depends on education
