Rumored Academic Calendar for Colleges of Education in Ghana 2024/2025


A new academic calendar for the 2024/2025 school year is circulating for Colleges of Education in Ghana. This rumored schedule outlines key dates and activities for students in Levels 100, 200, 300, and 400, covering both semesters.


Key Highlights from the Calendar


Level 400 Orientation and Macro Teaching:

11th - 15th November 2024: Level 400 students are to report to campus for orientation towards macro teaching.

15th November 2024: After orientation, these students will move to their assigned schools for their macro teaching practice.


First Phase of the First Semester (Levels 100, 200, and 300):


17th November 2024: Levels 100, 200, and 300 students are expected to report to campus for the start of the semester, which will last for about 5 weeks.



Christmas Break:


21st December 2024 - 11th January 2025: Students in Levels 100, 200, and 300 will break for Christmas, giving them 3 weeks at home.






Second Phase of the First Semester:

12th January 2025: Students return to campus to continue with the first semester, which will last 7 weeks.


First Semester Examinations:


3rd - 14th March 2025: This two-week period is set aside for the first-semester exams for Levels 100, 200, and 300 students.



Semester Break:


15th March - 26th April 2025: After exams, students in Levels 100, 200, and 300 are expected to have a 6-week break.

27th April 2025: All students from Levels 100 to 400 will return to campus to begin the second semester, which spans 12 weeks. Level 400 students, however, are to stay outside campus.



End of Second Semester Examinations:

21st July - 1st August 2025: The semester will conclude with final exams for all students.



Inter-Semester Break:

2nd August 2025: A two-week inter-semester break begins after the exams.
