The Youth Employment Agency (YEA) in Ghana has announced job opportunities for young people looking to make a difference in their communities.
These two programs, Community Police Assistants (CPAs) and Community Health Workers (CHWs), are aimed at reducing unemployment while providing valuable services to the country.
1. Community Police Assistants (CPAs)
The YEA, in partnership with the Ghana Police Service, is recruiting young people for the role of Community Police Assistants.
This role is part of the effort to address rising unemployment and improve security in local communities.
Application Period: 22nd October to 29th October 2024
Eligibility: Applicants should be between 18 and 35 years old, with a minimum of Senior High School (SHS) education.
Contract: Successful applicants will be engaged on a two-year contract.

2. Community Health Workers (CHWs)
The YEA is also recruiting Community Health Workers in partnership with the Ghana Health Service. This program aims to improve access to healthcare in rural areas and help communities achieve Universal Health Coverage (UHC).
Application Period: 22nd October to 29th October 2024
Eligibility: Applicants must be between 18 and 35 years old (with females encouraged to apply) and have at least an SHS education with passes in English and Mathematics. They should also be fluent in English and one local language.
How to Apply: Like the CPAs, CHW applicants can apply online through apply.yea.gov.gh or yea.gov.gh. Applications are free.
