The Ministry of Interior has announced that Friday, December 6, 2024, will be a statutory public holiday. This day, known as Farmers’ Day, is set aside to honor the hardworking farmers across the country for their dedication and contributions to Ghana’s development.

In a recent announcement, the Ministry stated:

“The general public is hereby informed that Friday, 6th December 2024, which marks Farmers’ Day, is a Statutory Public Holiday and should be observed as such throughout the country.”

As we approach December 6, let’s take a moment to reflect on the importance of agriculture in our lives. Farmers not only provide the food we eat but also contribute significantly to Ghana’s economy through exports and job creation.

On this day, let us celebrate their achievements and encourage others to support and invest in agriculture. After all, as the saying goes, “Without farmers, there is no food, and without food, there is no life.”
