We, the student leaders of St. John Bosco’s College of Education, write on behalf of the entire student body to express our profound appreciation for the remarkable leadership of our Principal, Prof. Joseph Amikuzuno. His tenure has been nothing short of transformative, inspiring, and commendable.

In light of his contributions, we respectfully appeal for his reappointment for an additional term of four years to allow him to continue the incredible progress he has brought to the college.

Grounds for Reconsideration

Prof. Joseph Amikuzuno has demonstrated unmatched leadership, diligence, and dedication to the growth of St. John Bosco’s College of Education. Here are the notable achievements during his tenure:

  1. Enhancement of Campus Security

    • He successfully led the construction of a perimeter fence, significantly improving campus safety for students and staff.
  2. Fostering Community Relationships

    • He strengthened ties with the local community, promoting social responsibility and mutual growth.
  3. Resolution of a 42-Year Land Dispute

    • Under his leadership, a long-standing land dispute between the college and the community was resolved, ensuring peace and securing the institution’s territory.
  4. Academic Excellence

    • He introduced new academic programs, enriching the curriculum and students’ learning experiences.
  5. Innovative Initiatives

    • His initiatives, including plug-in classes, rural-based STS, the St. John Bosco Model School, and Campus Life Radio, have enhanced student learning while benefiting the wider community.
  6. Infrastructure Development

    • He oversaw the completion of essential projects like the auditorium and classroom blocks, while also transforming the college's physical infrastructure.
  7. Transparent Leadership

    • He fostered a culture of accountability, trust, and collaboration, ensuring inclusive governance.
  8. Staff Development

    • He supported staff through research, promotions, and training, boosting morale and productivity.
  9. Promotion of Catholic Values

    • Through initiatives like Casa Maria Hall, the Garden of St. Francis of Assisi, and religious statues, he has enriched the college’s spiritual life.

Reliefs Sought

In recognition of these accomplishments, we respectfully request the Governing Council to:

  1. Renew His Tenure

    • Reappoint Prof. Joseph Amikuzuno for another four years to sustain the progress he has initiated.
  2. Formally Recognize His Achievements

    • Officially acknowledge his efforts in advancing the mission and vision of the college.
  3. Permit the Continuation of Projects

    • Allow him to complete ongoing projects to ensure continuity and the achievement of strategic goals.

The student body and the broader college community believe that Prof. Amikuzuno’s leadership is vital for the continued success of the institution. Any decision to terminate his tenure prematurely could negatively impact the progress and unity of the college.

We trust that the Governing Council will positively consider this petition, allowing Prof. Amikuzuno to continue leading the college toward excellence.

Thank you for your attention. We eagerly await your favorable response.
