Manegement of Al-Faruq College of Education has responded to a directive issued by the Teacher Trainees Association of Ghana (TTAG) that asked all Level 400 students to leave their partner schools due to the ongoing strike by the Colleges of Education Teachers Association of Ghana (CETAG).
Management of the college acknowledged TTAG's concerns but noted that such a directive should have been addressed to the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) through the Principals of Colleges of Education (PRINCOF).

The college advised all Level 400 students to remain in their assigned schools for the School-Based Support Teaching (STS) program. They emphasized that staying in these schools is in the students' best interest and will ensure that the internship program is completed smoothly despite the challenges posed by the CETAG strike.
This clarification comes as many teacher trainees expressed confusion about whether to follow TTAG's directive or continue their internship. The college's management believes that staying in the partner schools will help maintain the progress of their training while the issues leading to the strike are resolved.

Trainees are encouraged to stay calm and focused on their duties while awaiting further updates. Management also assured students that they are working with stakeholders to resolve any concerns affecting the academic calendar.
For now, Level 400 trainees are expected to continue their practical teaching in the partner schools to gain the required experience for their future teaching careers.
