The Institute for Teacher Education and Continuing Professional Development (ITECPD) has released the schedule for special resit and supplementary examinations for Level 400 students in Colleges of Education affiliated with the University of Education, Winneba (UEW). These exams are intended to help students who have not passed certain courses before their graduation.
Key Details of the Examination Schedule:
- Exam Dates: Monday, 3rd February – Friday, 7th February 2025
- Eligibility: Any Level 400 student who has not passed a course has the chance to retake the exam before graduation, as stated in Regulation 4.2.3 of UEW’s rules.
Steps for the Examination Process:
Test Preparation:
Course instructors must prepare the exam questions and submit them to the Assessment Officers or Vice Principals of the Colleges.
Submission Deadline:
The exam questions, marking schemes, and timetable should be forwarded to ITECPD by Thursday, 28th January 2025.
Coordination:
Assessment Officers must work with the management of their Colleges to ensure smooth organization of the exams.
Marking and Results:
Lecturers will mark the scripts and submit the scores to the Assessment Officers by Thursday, 13th February 2025.
Student Information:
The exams will be marked under the academic year and semester when the course was first taken. Results will also be uploaded to the OSIS platform.
Payment:
As with other resit exams, students must pay a fee to take these tests.
Cost of the Exams:
The cost of organizing the exams will be covered by the fees paid by students.
This initiative gives students the opportunity to improve their performance and meet the requirements for graduation. Students are encouraged to prepare well and consult their lecturers for support.
