The Teacher Trainees' Association of Ghana (TTAG) has issued a notice to final-year teacher trainees in all Colleges of Education. The notice, is to addressed students participating in their internships (out-programme). TTAG advises trainees to continue their internship exercise despite ongoing challenges.
The decision comes after a National Executive Council (NEC) meeting held with local TTAG Presidents. According to the notice, this action was necessary because of “a timely update by the National Conference of Principals of Colleges of Education (PRINCOF) on the progress of finding a resolution collectively with our teachers.”

TTAG reminded students of the importance of the internship programme, stating:
“Please note that your macro-teaching is a critical component of your final year assessment; therefore, we urge you to take this opportunity to gain valuable practical experience.”
The ongoing strike by the Colleges of Education Teachers Association of Ghana (CETAG) has disrupted academic activities. However, TTAG reassures students that steps are being taken to resolve the situation.

“We are actively engaging with the relevant stakeholders to ensure a lasting resolution to the Colleges of Education Teachers Association of Ghana (CETAG) industrial strike action for academic activities to resume on Monday, January 27, 2025.”
The notice acknowledged the challenges faced by trainees during these uncertain times but commended them for their commitment to academic excellence:
“We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during these challenging times. Your commitment to your academic pursuit is commendable.”
TTAG urges all final-year teacher trainees to remain focused on their internship responsibilities while they work on addressing the challenges posed by the CETAG strike.“Thank you for your attention to this matter.”
